Career Design Lab
A pull toward change doesn't always come with a clear direction. Sometimes it's the role, sometimes the company or the field, sometimes something outside work. This program helps you figure out which, then test new directions in the real world before you commit.
Who: Just you and your coach(es)
How long: 14 weeks - 9 sessions with two stretches of work in between
Cost: $2,500
Phase One: Understand (5 weeks)
Before deciding what to change, you get clear on what is true now
Session 1: Where You Are. An honest look at your current work: what's working, what isn't, and what's drawing you toward change.
Session 2: Highlights and Lows. You look back across your experience for the moments that energized you and the ones that drained you.
Weeks 3-4: Energy Log. For two weeks, you track your workdays as they happen. Real-time data often tells a different story than memory.
Session 3: Reading the Data. We review your Energy Log together and see what patterns show up.
Phase Two: Reframe and Generate (3 weeks)
Session 4: Priorities and Constraints. You name what matters to you in work and in life, and separate what's truly fixed from what you've assumed is fixed.
Session 5: Three Paths. You sketch three distinct versions of the next few years and weigh each one on resources, interest, confidence, and fit.
Weeks 6: Designing the Test. You choose what to test and plan real conversations with people doing that work
Phase Three: Test (3 weeks)
Up to three weeks of outreach and conversations. The window is capped on purpose, because momentum matters more than perfect timing.
Phase Four: Build (3 weeks)
•Session 7: Synthesis. What held up, what didn't, and what surprised you.
Session 8: Your Story. Clear language for where you're headed and why, ready for a networking conversation or an interview.
Session 9: Next Steps. A concrete plan for your direction, whether that means reshaping your current role, making a move, or going back to school.
After the Program
Two check-ins, about one and three months after your last session, to see how your plan is holding up and adjust it where needed.
What you leave with
A clear read on what's pulling you and why. A direction you've tested with real people. The language to explain your next move, and a plan you're ready to act on.
